Welcome to Lakewood Ranch located in Manatee County Florida. Lakewood Ranch is located 11 miles east of Bradenton on 17,500 acres of land. Of this area, 3,500 acres is preserved land and waterways with over 150 miles of walking paths and nature trails. Lakewood Ranch is home to 10 villages including townhomes, villas, condominiums, single-family homes and custom estates. Homes in the Lakewood Ranch community range from 1,000 to 6,000 square footage starting at the mid $100,000's to over $6,000,000 range. Championship golf courses are also in the community and complimentary 18 holes of golf are included in some of the properties amenities. Lakewood Ranch is the largest certified Green Community in the United States. Located close to I-75 on the Gulf Coast of Florida, Lakewood Ranch has access to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Siesta Key Beach.

RECREATION

Lakewood Ranch is home to 3 state of the art golf courses, Cypress Links, King’s Dunes and Royal Lakes. You can also become a member of the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club. If you enjoy tennis, you will be pleased to know there are 18 tennis courts for your pleasure. You will also enjoy over 150 miles of walking paths and nature trails, bike paths, cricket, polo, bird watching and fishing on Otter Lake. The local YMCA provides many activities for adults, youth and seniors. There are several community parks including, Adventure Park and Braden River Nature Trail.

SHOPPING AND DINING

There are currently 8 shopping districts located in and near Lakewood Ranch. The Mall at University Town Center will be opening in October 2014 as well. Main Street at Lakewood Ranch has several fashion stores, beauty salons, jewelry shops and gourmet restaurants. Town Center has over 200 businesses and retailers, restaurants and hospitality services. Market Square offers 20 shops, a Publix grocery store, pharmacies and restaurants. There is also San Marco Plaza, Shops at Summerfield, Lakewood Walk, The Courtyards at Market Square, Lake Osprey Plaza and Lorraine Corners.

EDUCATION

There are 7 public schools servicing the Lakewood Ranch community, a charter school offering K-5 classes, and a preparatory middle and high school. For continued learning, there are several schools nearby including, Manatee Community College Center for Innovation and Technology, Keiser University and Culinary Institute, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), and The Ringling College of Art and Design. 

ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT

Lakewood Ranch has a movie theatre featuring the latest mainstream movies. Enjoy a bite to eat before or after your movie at one of the many restaurants on Main Street. You can have fun with some mini golf or “Music on Main.” Lakewood Ranch hosts an Annual Chili Cook Off where you can sample local chef’s best chili or sample some fine local wines at the Suncoast Food and Wine Festival. Lakewood Ranch is home to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, an acute care facility, housing 120 beds and the Lakewood Ranch Women’s Center. The Lakewood Ranch Athletic Club offers a junior Olympic pool, massage and sauna services. The Lakewood Ranch YMCA offers activities for adults, youths and seniors.
